Florida Sunshine Shake

  • 1 cup Florida orange juice
  • ½ cup pink or red Florida grapefruit juice
  • 1 ripe banana
  • ½ cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Combine all ingredients in blender until smooth. Pour and serve immediately. Makes 1-2 servings.

Florida Refresher

Sip this fruity drink at breakfast, as a refreshing snack, or a low fat dessert.

  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 cup cut-up strawberries
  • ¾ cup frozen Florida orange juice concentrate (do not thaw)
  • 6 ice cubes
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Place all ingredients in a blender container; cover and blend until frothy. If desired, garnish with additional strawberries. Makes 3 (12-ounce) servings.

  • ¾ cup frozen Florida orange juice concentrate, thawed
  • ¾ cup frozen Florida grapefruit juice concentrate, thawed
  • 1 1-liter bottle carbonated water or tonic water, chilled
  • Ice cubes

Pour thawed concentrates into a pitcher. Gently stir in chilled carbonated or tonic water. Pour over ice in glasses. Serve at once. Makes about 7 (6-ounce) servings.

  • 1 8-ounce carton vanilla low-fat yogurt
  • ¾ cup frozen Florida orange juice concentrate, thawed
  • 1 small papaya or mango, seeded, peeled, and chopped
  • ½ cup skim milk
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 8-10 ice cubes

Place yogurt, thawed concentrate, papaya or mango, milk, and honey in a blender container. Cover and blend until smooth. With the blender running, add ice cubes, one at a time, through hole in lid. Blend until smooth. Garnish each serving with a skewer of fresh fruit. Makes 3 (about 8-ounce) servings.
